It's a challenge for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

This is the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to an additional six T20 titles, and once went nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

It needed until Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase above 300, reclaiming their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a compliment to the bowlers that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It's challenging for their batters to possess a record if not afforded the chance.

Finally, the consequence of Australia giving up 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy getting a platform to produce her newest gem.

Many contend the argument supporting final game tension. Others can counter with the test that comes when facing a record target and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's clear is this hundred was considerably tougher to predict.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 came as she led the batting statistics, but this innings was preceded by six games in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"If you've been watching me in training, it was a frustrating experience because I feel like I lacked timing completely," commented Healy.

"But once you step out on the field, your competitive nature activate and you completely engage with the contest."

Healy's competitive nature has continuously been her great strength - and an irreplaceable characteristic in succeeding famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, fallen to the 22-year-old seamer in all three matches, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's spark.

"The possibility to go out there and engage in competition with her and simply enjoy myself that way, somewhat inspired me," said Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her fastest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three maximums.

Once she was out her side required another 66 at run per delivery - a manageable total now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I'm pleased we have the confidence to achieve that now," added Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it another time but, should it happen, we are confident we can achieve it."

That comment will be the ultimate thing competing nations at this World Cup should hear.

Over the past five days a feeling they will win from any position has grown stronger - this success succeeding success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.
